Winemaking at Balfour is very much a family affair. Father and son
Owen and Fergus Elias lead the charge: Owen, one of the pioneers of
English wine, and Fergus, quietly steering a new generation of awardwinning vintages.
Three generations of the Turner family tend the vineyard and estate
with equal parts expertise and devotion. Cathy, Stef, and their son Billy
combine intimate knowledge of the terroir with a steadfast
commitment to sustainability — a principle at the heart of every Balfour
wine.
